I Love Lavender
Lavender is a beautiful purple floral plant which is best planted in April and May. It needs full sun exposure and best planted in a large pot as it will grown and spread quickly.
Where It Comes From?
Lavender is know best for its french heritage however it is now grown in vast quantities in England and Russia but it can be found all over the world. It is easily grown and there is a large presence of wild Lavender especially in the French mountains.
Why I Love Lavender
Mostly because of the relaxing peaceful properties Lavender is known for, however it has a wealth of fantastic therapeutic properties. Lavender’s vast benefits was first discovered by a man called Gattefosse. Gattefosse badly burned his arm and a large vessel of Lavender Essential Oil was the closest fluid near him. He soon discovered the burn healed quickly and did not scar. Ever since we have begun to discover the healing properties of Lavender.
Lavender is great for acne, eczema, flu, colds, insomnia, sprains, strains, headaches, depression, cuts, burns, stress, stretch marks and scars to name a few.
What Does Lavender Blend Well With?
Although all Essential Oils blend well with one another, Lavender Essential Oil blends particularly well with Cedar Wood, Clary Sage, Pine, Nutmeg and Geranium.
Always remember Aromatherapy cannot replace medication as it is a complementary health treatment.
